I’m Kess Broekman-Dattner (see isn’t ‘BD’ easier?) an award winning US-based creator from Melbourne, Australia. 

I’m also 6'8-and-a-bit", which is more often than not the first thing you notice about me.  

As the son of a world changing leadership expert mum, I was raised in close proximity to nature, big business and legacy-minded purpose, All this imbues my work with a matching sensibility, with stories that thoughtfully amplify client’s messages, often around women-forward narratives. No greater cause, in my opinion.

Meanwhile my thematically motivated visual storytelling is routinely bettered by my diverse cast and crews. The spirit on set when we are all represented is passionate, ambitious and connected like no other — if not infinitely more fun.

Prior to my move to the USA, I worked with Oh Yeah Wow, Australia's leading home to ragtag animators and vfx artists. There I created my award winning fashion film for skodia and my ARIA (the Aussie version of the Emmys) nominated music video Through the Roof.
